About Me

I began fly fishing in 1992 at age 12. It was my primary passion for over 20 years after that. As time went on I developed new interests and began fishing less and less until I stopped all together for many years. In the summer of 2021 I randomly came across a tenkara video on youtube and it a lit a small fire that would completely reignite my deep love of trout fishing and the outdoors. What tenkara taught me very early on is that while I’ve always been fairly good at catching fish I really didn’t know shit about fishing. The intention of this site is to log my thoughts, photos and things I learn from and about tenkara. I am by no means a trained writer and I have no lofty goals on posting frequency. I appreciate each and every one of you that takes the time to stop by.
