A break in the rain.

DISCLAIMER: This post is a month or so old. For some reason it got lost in the draft folder. Rather than scrap it I figured id post anyways.

A brief outing last Saturday with my friend Cole. After what has felt like an eternity of constant drizzling rain it was nice to have an afternoon of semi-decent weather! Winter is being very stubborn to let go this year. It was a brief yet productive time on the water. Cole is recovering from a torn Achilles and accompanying surgery so we were very limited on where we could fish. We made the best of it though and ended the day with 7 fish between the 2 of us. All but 1 on dry flies including my biggest of the day.

This eager fish hammered a balloon caddis
The one fish that was not caught on the surface. Caught it on a peacock and partridge kebari with small silver bead
My best on the day and a total surprise. Rose to a sz12 klinkhammer
Experimenting with the Olympus tg-6 as my go to fishing camera this year. So far so good. All images in this post were shot on it.
Cole did pretty good for a guy that couldn’t get in the water.
